Anders Kann Elten, marimba and percussion

Active as a solo and chamber musician, Danish marimbaist Anders Kann Elten has performed extensively in various European countries and also toured China with the group Percurama.


In 2012 he formed the  ‘Phantom Duo’ together with Polish percussionist Tomasz Szczepaniak, and together they have performed in Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Poland. 


In 2016, he joined the newly formed World Percussion Group as soloist to tour the U.S., playing numerous concerts, as well as giving lessons and holding master classes at different universities. In November 2016, the ensemble has been selected to perform at PASIC in Indianapolis, the biggest percussion convention in the world. 


Projects for early 2017 include a CD recording with Danish percussionist Mathias Reumert of works by Ravel and Reich, as well as recordings with the Phantom Duo of works by Wayne Siegel, Paganini and Anders Koppel.

Awards and competitions: 



Third Prize as well as the Keiko Abe Honorary Prize in the Universal Marimba Competition in Belgium.

Enkor Music Competition Grand Prize (Wind & Percussion Instruments).


Royal Danish Academy of Musics in-house competition for Soloists: First prize.



With Phantom Duo: Reached semi Final in Danish Radio P2’s chamber music competition.
